Pixelmator Pro har uppdaterats till version 2.2. för macOS. Den nya versionen bjuder på optimeringar för Monterey som släpptes den 25 oktober, samt en lång rad andra förbättringar.
Den kanske största nyheten är att Pixelmator Pro stöder Genvägar som släpptes med macOS Monterey. Det finns 28 förinställda genvägar för olika händelser, bland annat Super Resolution, beskärning och brusreducering.

Stöd för Split View i Monterey
Pixelmator Pro har även en genväg för att ta bort bakgrunden i fotografier med människor. Det finns en hel mängd att lära sig om genvägar i appen; Pixelmator har en guidande video här som ger dig grunderna i hur det fungerar.
En annan stor nyhet är att Pixelmator Pro nu stöder så kallad ”split-view” som visar det färdiga resultatet respektive originalet. Det gör det lättare att inspektera din redigering och se om resultatet motsvarar förväntningarna mot originalet.
Vidare har Pixelmator Pro fått en helt ny, förbättrad blurr-effekt, Pixelmator Photo-filer stöds direkt i Pro-appen och brush-spacing stöder nu upp till 1000% (även i gamla Pixelmator-appen).

Optimerad för nya M1 Pro och Max
Och givetvis har Pixelmator Pro optimerats för helt nya och förbättrade Macbook Pro-serien med M1 Pro och Max.
De nya kretsarna skruvar upp prestandan rejält och inte minst i ML Super Resolution där prestandan ökat med 15x jämfört med tidigare, Intel-baserade Mac-datorer.
Sen tidigare har redigeringsappen haft fullt stöd för Apple M1 som introducerades i november förra året. Men nu tar Pixelmator steget fullt ut till de nya, förbättrade kretsarna för preofessionella användare.

• Apply Color Adjustment Preset to Image: Applies a selected color adjustment preset to images.
• Apply Effect Preset to Image: Applies a selected effect preset to images.
• Apply LUT to Image: Applies a custom LUT to an image.
• Automatically Crop Image: Automatically crops images using the machine learning-powered ML Crop algorithm.
• Automatically Enhance Image: Automatically enhances the look of images using our ML Enhance algorithm.
• Convert Image: Converts the images into the specified image format.
• Crop Image to Aspect Ratio: Crops images to a specific aspect ratio, fitting the original image into the new ratio if necessary.
• Denoise Image: Automatically removes camera noise from images using our ML Denoise algorithm.
• Get Person Mask from Photo: Using a machine learning algorithm, this action returns a grayscale mask image from images that contain people.
• Increase Resolution of Image: Increases the resolution of images by 3 times using our ML Super Resolution algorithm.
• Match Colors of Images: Matches the colors of an image to those of a different image using the ML Match Colors algorithm.
• Optimize Image for Web: Optimizes images for use on the web.
• Overlay Image: Overlays an image on top of another with the selected blending and opacity settings.
• Remove Background from Portrait Photo: Using a machine learning-powered algorithm, this action removes the background from images that contain people.
• Replace Layer in Document: Replaces the specified image layer in layered documents with the image you specify while preserving all its nondestructive properties.
